Spectrum sought a world-class, enterprise-wide, managed solution across their multiple locations – a solution capable of accommodating their current holdings & users. They also required sufficient scalability to expand as the company made future acquisitions. Additionally, the need for business continuity, redundancy, and disaster recovery contingencies made a highly managed solution a perfect fit.
Spectrum also requested that Aztec deliver the hardware and software needs for all of their clubs which allowed Spectrum's staff to remain focused on providing superior service to their club members.

Aztec’s solutions allowed Spectrum to centralize competing resources in a secure, state-of-the-art facility. With Aztec Systems, Spectrum achieved greater operational efficiencies enabling them to quickly acquire new facilities, remove the old technology, and implement their own IT hardware and software – with far greater speed than their competitors. Over the last seven years, Spectrum has experienced explosive growth and has relied upon Aztec Systems to deliver reliable service, support, and business development solutions.

Initially utilizing Microsoft Windows NT, Terminal Server, and Citrix MetaFrame in a Load Balanced computing environment, Aztec was able to meet all customer applications and services requirements. Infrastructure centralization was accomplished by co-locating all servers and applications in Aztec’s highly secure Network Operations Center (NOC) located in the Dallas INFOMART® - thus all of Spectrum’s servers are housed in the world-class, highly redundant Aztec data center. Previously, clustering of the Property Management Database was accomplished by utilizing Microsoft Windows NT Enterprise 4.0 with data redundancy located on a Compaq RAID Array 3000. Aztec has upgraded these components throughout the years with several hardware refresh engagements and consolidation. Operating system and related software components have been migrated to a Microsoft Windows 2003 Enterprise-class environment with 24-7 monitoring of facilities and systems.
Subsequently, Aztec developed the infrastructure support for Spectrum’s Microsoft Dynamics GP™ system. In addition, the entire corporate infrastructure now runs on the full Microsoft Stack including the migrations from Windows Server NT 4.0 to the current Windows Server 2003 platform.
